7/14/2026 7:14:29Vicki Roberts & Learay Rayburn-SilviaAll of the above. Hoping the website will serve as the central hub for both Neighborhood Groups (& their leaders) along with individual members in the chapter (those not necessarily involved in a Neighborhood Group)N/AThe lack of a websiteStay current with dates and times of all Neighborhood Group meetings/outings, contact other members (especially Neighborhood Group Chairs, members of leadership team, update their own contact information and register for eventsNeed a way to access updated contact information and have current information (dates and times) of Neighborhood Group meetings.1. Content should include: individual member contact information (with an option for each individual as to whether or not they would like that information to be made public OR kept private), Neighborhood Group information (dates & times of meetings, etc),
2. Functionality should include: Member Area (requiring login by the individual members, Neighborhood Group areas that can be maintained by Neighborhood Group Leader (password protected), Event Registration (with payment processing if possible), Contact Forms for prospective members, sponsors, volunteers, etc.
3. Need(s) to be addressed: Improve efficiency for the chapter with respect to use of social media, event registration, contact information, etc.

7/23/2026 16:41:43Jane OliveraI've found it disappointing in the past, and it has been offline until Diana was able to restore it.I think this is the same answer as for the previous question. I generally could not find the information I wanted when I accessed it.See the planned meeting topics and schedule for general meetings and Neighborhood Groups, see how to contact officers and other members of the Board, view updates and communications from the President.N/AMember were actively accessing the website to obtain the information provided. Maybe that is a quick visit to see what the next meeting is about, or to see the most recent information about one of the Neighborhood Groups. Another kind of content might be photos from a meeting, and members hopefully had been looking to see the photos. If we have included a means of contacting the CAB, success would be getting input or questions from the members.Very involved... we will be participating as much as possible
7/21/2026 14:50:33Diana HotellingPhotos of past eventsWould like a better calendar, more consistent presentation of past and future events on web pagesFind out about upcoming meetings, see pictures of past meetings & events, find out about ASGCalendar isn't up to date. Information isn't well organized. Hard to find things on the site.Up to date info about upcoming meetings and events, a way for members and non-members to sign up for meetings and events, members only area for newsletters and roster.Very involved... we will be participating as much as possible

7/19/2026 19:08:44Miki MooreIt is straightforward and contains many of the components our members require (even though all information is out of date). Information such as upcoming special events, current activities in the neighborhood groups, connection with the CAB members. We are unable to update any content on the website (text, images, or attachments). Outside of that critical lack, the website doesn't have a clear way to communicate with the CAB - questions, comments, etc.Item A: Be informed about upcoming special events/activities.
Item B: Become familiar with what current activities are happening in the various neighborhood groups.
Item C: Make it easy to connect with others, including registering / paying for special events/activities.
They complain about the out-of-date information as we have been unable to update content. It is fun, lots of color, lots of photos.
It is professional - easy to understand and streamlined navigation through the content.
It is easy to communicate with the chapter - ask questions, comments, sign up for events, share their own photos.
Neighborhood group sections with upcoming information about meetings, content for the meetings (attachments), photos of the meetings
It welcomes non-members and gives them a sense of what the chapter does - special events, core interests of the neighborhood groups
Somewhat involved... we will participate for certain parts that are important to us (e.g. website design)

7/21/2026 11:55:56Anne HumphreyThe website held a lot of information for membersInputting Neighborhood Group information was extremely time consuming. See all the Neighborhood Groups and their programs, have access to the Chapter newsletters and other Chapter information eg Chapter community service patterns and instructions, Chapter wide events and informstion pertaining to those, and have the more sensitive information password protected.N/AAll of the above. It is important these days to have a digital presence so members can look up Chapter information and new or prospective members can see what we are all about.Very involved... we will be participating as much as possible

7/24/2026 10:28:48Ivalyn Jones-ActieNothingNothing appealing or inviting. CumbersomeInfo on chapter membership, NG meetings & eventsCumbersome not inviting I love the Atlanta Chapter. My goal is to have a website like itVery involved... we will be participating as much as possible
7/23/2026 18:27:09Kathryn FricksAll upcoming events are listed. It includes all the newsletters.I would like it to be a better source of information for people who know nothing about ASG or about our Chapter and just want to figure out 'what is ASG? What does it mean to be a member? How do I join? Why would I want to join? What are the benefits of membership?', etc. I would also like it to be more modern, stylish, and welcoming.Find the answer to the questions: what is the American Sewing Guild? Why would I want to be a member of the American Sewing Guild? How do I join?Members want to be able to find the newsletters and find information about upcoming events. It should be attractive and informative. It should include an up-to-date list of the Neighborhood Groups. It should provide ways for perspective members to get more information. It should be useful for members, to include announcements of upcoming events and an archive of the newsletters.Very involved... we will be participating as much as possible

7/8/2026 9:45:29Nonie Machunze - PresidentOur schedule listingWould like for prior meetings to drop off the schedule after they occurBe able to email or ask questions and those questions be sent to appropriate member to respond.

Look fresh. We need to attract members of all ages. We need to attract younger members.

Be able to click on areas to get more details, pictures and such. More interactivity.
Our website is static and not interactive. All extras will be a boon to us.Be able to register for retreats, classes, Inspiration Lunch, SIG Apparel Meeting, and more. Be able to spotlight what various groups are doing so members can better pick activities to do. We want to reach as many people as possible.Very involved... we will be participating as much as possible
7/8/2026 8:55:55Paceda PetroneThe information provided is accurate.
There is a link to our PayPal account for donations and event registrations.
It is unattractive.
There is no password protection so that we can store links to current and previous newsletters.
There is no member area for downloads of resources, etc.
Access accurate information.
Member area ( repository for sewing resources, newsletters, classified ads, etc.)
Register for events.
No interactivity.
Our website is updated to reflect accurate information, but it is unattractive and awkward to maintain.
A well designed website helps build legitimacy, trust, and visibility.

We need content for neighborhood groups and special interest groups, calendar of events (possibly color coded for each neighborhood group and special interest groups).

Features: member area, online registration including payment, member area, easily updatable calendar of events. It would be ideal if each NG or SIG leader could update that groups’s calendar and meeting information.

I believe an attractive and useful website would benefit both current members and prospective members. It makes accessing meeting information easier and it helps spread the word about ASG, and our chapter specifically.

7/24/2026 10:55:57Susan SweatThe Neighborhood group meetings, Calendar, and About us pagesIt is too basic/boring and we don't think it will entice new members. Also, there is no members only section or a way to register/pay for events.get information on what's new/what's going on with our chapter, find out about any new events and register, members should be able to post/view info, files, photosthat our website is basically just a blog and that it is too difficult to update and maintainif we have the ability to take online registrations/payments, a member area, and if we gain new members from itVery involved... we will be participating as much as possible
7/20/2026 16:09:32Johnnye TamaruI have used it very little but perhaps the posting of upcoming eventsI believe it functions more like a blog and is missing many functions such as calendar of events, contact info, easy navigation, etc
Find events details, contact someone when needed, do outreach for potential new membersI do not believe that our website is used very muchAtlanta's site is a good example of a great website for a Chapter, in my opinionIt is my goal to have at least one person very involved and several involved but perhaps to a lesser degree

7/8/2026 8:04:42Jean GuentherIt looks nice at first glance.Very hard to make changes with little backup.See when and where neighborhood groups meet, see newsletters, see pictures of projects people are working on.Website not being updated because of lack of experience and help.I would like to see a website that is actually used regularly to see what’s going on with the chapter, write ups on current cab members, a non member area where prospective members can see what the chapters doing. An email link for prospective new members.Very involved... we will be participating as much as possible

7/20/2026 15:49:35Polly SwansonLegible -- black in! After going to a class on fonts, I would like to see a serif font because serif font, basically, is easier/faster to read. Another category we covered was eye-attracting font/graphic for headlines, titles. I would like to have more information on that when I decide on what to use for that purpose.Big challenge is to design for members and non-members on the same website. We want to bring interested, possibly in membership, people first to our chapter while also making it a place the Chapter wants to go for information. Maybe Twitter, instagram and facebook are enough, especially since Facebook has an "older readership" reputation, and we're over-duplicating information. Have considered a members-only area vs. cost of website to support a members-only area.

Photos. Most of the photos are of members holding up finished projects without much detail; I don't think they quite capture the feeling of camaraderie the guild fosters. It's also been hard to keep up with photos and neighborhood group meetings.
It would be nice to have general sewists, or other sewing pictures/ illustrations that weren't necessarily members, just to broaden the scope of photos that illustrate what we have eto offer.

They should be able to get enthused about learning about sewing and get excited about the Chapter and what it has to offer, and join in, or join if they're not members. Non-members should get an idea of what we're about and how to join in and, we hope, join or at least ask questions. Access future and some past events, plus the officers, etc. When we publish an event, I always think it's nice to follow it up with a "how it went and what went on, etc." page.
One CAB co-chair wants to put an information page up herself about the event she's in charge of easily. up on the site. We haven't been paying for a members-only area, so that's been limited. We may decide we'll need extra e-mail accounts, possibly a Chapter-only area. I''d like to note that it has been frustrating to go to other Chapter websites and not see the entire website without going through an approval from someone in the chapter.
I like a lot about the Atlanta Chapter site. One thing, though, it seems very busy, and I don't especially like the Google (I think) calendar because you have to click again in order to see a whole event. It would be nice to read the label aobe the picture of pictures you can click on to get more information.
Success would mean more people joined the Chapter through the website -- not sure how you can measure that, unless we asked how much of a role the website played in the person wanting to join, perhaps. It would mean that members used information regularly,
It would be helpful to know who uses the site. I've never had available, except by country, who visited the website. Infrequently we get correspondence asking about how to join, or an event. However, we've also had public queries regarding getting rid of fabric or sewing supplies, which isn't our goal to assist with.
Almost every month, our stitch camp coordinator sends out a lot of reminders and keeps track of sign-ups and payments for every stitch, so she seems to have a lot of work in that area of the Chapter offering stitch camps. She's communicating also with the venues ot line up dates. I asked her what she sees as what she might appreciate help with, or maybe you know what questions to ask because I'm not sure what might be possible. We have a Zeffy account now, practically new, which link gets set up individually for separate events. Along with paying, the coordinator sends out the announcement of the next stitch camp, and a deadline by when she needs to know for some of them that we have a minimum number of participants.
What level of experience would be needed to be very involved? Would like to be part of at least at the "somewhat involved" level.
